Did you know that not every emergency warrants a costly visit to the ER? Did you know that urgent care facilities can handle up to 90% of all cases that end up in ERs? Urgent care is a service that offers immediate and cost-effective medical care when your primary care doctor isn’t available and you don’t want to make that costly visit to the ER.

Accessing urgent care services makes it easy to get prompt care for urgent yet non-life-threatening issues such as:

• Illness treatment: colds, flus, stomach aches, coughs, etc.
• Minor injury care: bumps, cuts, abrasions, sprains, etc.
• Pediatric care: late-night fevers, influenza, bronchitis, rashes and infections, etc.
• Tests: x-rays, lab tests, etc.

At Dr. Rizvi’s clinic, we offer excellent urgent care services to patients who need immediate medical attention or need lab work on short notice. After scheduling an urgent appointment, we’ll address the issue at hand and in the case of any further treatments required, we will refer you back to your primary care physician or to another specialist. However, it has been our observation that many of the cases that benefit from urgent care services hardly require extensive follow-up treatments.
